Discriminating Properties
Properties are “discriminating” if, their equality means that the 2 proxies are in fact proxies for the same subject.
For example, a name conferred on a proxy is a discriminating property if when 2 subjects have the same name, they are regarded as the same subject.
- Note: This is Application-defined. Subjects don’t have to merge by name all the time. Sometimes it’s better not to do it (the telephone directory for example).
Each application defines what properties are discriminating.
