Biographical Notes

Sandro Zic is co-initiator of the Open Communities Project and project manager of oc4ware software development. He is CEO of Know-ING (www.Know-ING.biz), a company offering Knowledge Management Software. He is actively engaged in the international FOSS community, especially the PEAR group (http://pear.php.net), the OpenISIS database for libraries (http://www.openisis.org), and Bitfluxeditor, a WISIWYG XML editor (http://www.bitfluxeditor.org) . Sandro was invited to the International PHP Conference 2001 to speak about the oc4 project. For Wrox Press, he reviews PHP programming books. In 2001, he was software project manager at a German company developing customised content management systems for the Web. In 2000, Sandro was in charge of setting up the Croatian part of the UNESCO education server D@dalos (http://www.dadalos.org) for teachers and multiplicators in the successor states of the former Yugoslavia.
