Deployable Security Tools (That Work...)

Abstract

Current, stable Open Source Security solution for small to medium networks. Train for and deploy 'stateful' firewalls, 'sniffers', and general intrusion detection. Stateful firewalls compared to 'Deep Packet Inspection'. Discussion of hardware -vs- software firewalls, network traffic analyzers, and common exploits. Focus is on the available Open Source security tools currently considered stable.
