Biographical Notes

John Viega is an internationally recognized expert on software security. He has co-authored three books in the field, including "Building Secure Software" (Addison Wesley, 2001), "Network Security with OpenSSL" (O'Reilly, 2002) and the forthcoming "Secure C Programming Cookbook" (O'Reilly, 2003). He is the Chief Scientist of Secure Software and is a Senior Research Scientist at the Cyber Security Policy and Research Institute and an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech.
