Berkshire  Josey, Andrew  Reading Standards : bridging the generation gap between Linux and Unix The Open Group UK Standards : bridging the generation gap between Linux and Unix Biographical NotesAndrew Josey is Director of Certification within The Open Group. Presently, Andrew chairs the Austin Group, the working group responsible for development of the joint revision to POSIX and the Single UNIX Specification. This work has recently reached International Standard status as ISO/IEC 9945:2002. Andrew is the advocate for Linux and Open Source within The Open Group and is the technical lead for the Linux Standard Base testing program. He recently managed the successful development and deployment of the LSB certification program on behalf of the Free Standards Group. Andrew has worked in the industry since 1987, previously for AT&T UNIX Europe, UNIX System Laboratories and Novell prior to joining the Open Group in 1996. |
