Biographical Notes

Ms. Turnbull is a senior program advisor in the Office Intergovernmental Solutions (OIS) within the Office of Citizen Services and Communications (OCSC) at the US General Services Administration. OIS collaborates with Federal, state, local and foreign government and international organizations to establish strong partnerships that advance goals for a citizen-centric government.

Ms. Turnbull is the chair of the Universal Access Working Group, Emerging Technologies Subcommittee, Architecture and Infrastructure Committee (AIC) of the Chief Information Officer?s Council. She leads a monthly collaboration workshop series (ua-exp.gov), sponsored by AIC, that explores shared purposes toward seamless government among representatives from governments, industry, academia, and non-government organizations. She is also a member of numerous improvement communities advancing e-government. Ms. Turnbull was the founder of the GSA Center for Information Technology Accommodation (CITA) that implements Federal legislation on equitable access to information resources by people with disabilities. She has received numerous awards for her creativity and leadership in advancing universal access.

Ms. Turnbull holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
