Abstract
The presentation will present the various drivers that have led to the development of a set of libre software policies in the activities of the European Commission. It will cover research and development funding, software for government and administrations, social inclusion and empowerment, and information commons. It will briefly discuss the link between the values that support libre software and choices regarding the architecture of the information society. |
