A fable (4).
Discussion:
Human beings must constantly invent ways to say things to other human beings.
How we do that is still pretty mysterious.
When we succeed in doing it, the speaker and the listener (or the writer and the reader) are both members of at least one common community.
People who provide useful guidance to one community's members as they attempt to understand the communications of another community are, of necessity, members of both communities. Principal Skinner is a member of both TeachingStaff and SchoolBoard.
